Our very first Regional Meeting was held at the Grand Event Center in McAlester. Representatives from Little Dixie Transit, Bike Oklahoma, KATS, SORTS, and JAMM were in attendance. The group discussed what they thought was working well, what challenges they face in providing and accessing transit, and the opportunities that exist to improve transit throughout the state. A lack of resources (in terms of funding and available staff) and the operating costs for long-haul trips were some of the challenges highlighted by the group.
